The many faces of Hadley Pt. 2

The other day I was going through the pictures on my phone and found some more funny faces that HG makes.  She totally cracks me up...she has got some personality!

Giggle

Hadley smiles ALL the time, but recently she has been giggling.  She will laugh anytime at anything (including diaper changes).  Its pretty darn cute and I'm sure it will never get old.

Thank you Lord for this perfect gift. I'm grateful everyday!

First Christmas Morning

Again, way out of order, but I had to put this on here.  First and foremost, PLEASE ignore me in this video!!  Not flattering (at all) of me first thing in the morning after sleeping on an air mattress in the living room :)  The things we do for our kids :)

When Hadley wakes up in the mornings she spends her time talking.  As you can see she is a bit speechless in the video at first, probably because we don't ever turn on the big light first thing in the morning and have a camera in her face.

Hadley's Thoughts...

A new love

Hadley got this new toy for Christmas in her stocking. It plays this very annoying music while it vibrates and moves on the floor.  It doesn't matter if the toy is across the room and she can't even see it, whenever she hears the music it's an automatic smile :)  Why is it that they always like the most annoying toys the best?  I guess this is just the beginning :)

You also get a little belly shot with this smile.

Grandpa Ger

Josh's dad Gerry is here visiting from Alaska.  We always love having him here and Hadley especially enjoys having him here.  He always entertains her and makes her laugh.  We are going to have to watch him though because he is already telling her she can have whatever she wants, like a pony, sheep, goats, 4-wheelers, you name it he has promised it to her.  As long as all of those things stay at his house I'm game :)

He brought her some very cute moccasins from AK
She thinks they are perfect!

Thanks for being here for her first Christmas!  We love you.

Christmas Dinner

It is a bit strange to be writing about food and actually posting a picture of it, but I made this dinner for Christmas and it actually tasted good, so I needed a little proof. :)  We had Cornish Game Hens, Scallop Potatoes, green beans, champaign salad with goat cheese tarts, and an apple pie.  This will not be happening again until next year so I say fair-well oven, we shall meet again soon.

What is she thinking?

I look at Hadley a lot and wonder what she could be thinking about.  She is very expressive!  Anytime I go to get her out of bed I get the biggest smile/grin/shy face all wrapped up.  It is one of my most favorite things.  The other night I woke her up to eat so she would sleep the rest of the night and I so gently said her name and rubbed her tummy.  I wasn't quite sure how she was going to respond, but I should have known, she just streched soo big and gave me the biggest smile like 'Hey mom, thanks for waking me up'.  I don't want to forget these simple stories or these faces.

The many faces of Hadley Grace...

Merry Merry Christmas!

Maw Maw's 83rd Birthday

We made a special trip to see my grandma- Maw Maw to help celebrate her birthday.  Hadley loves her some Maw Maw.

TV--Very Fun!

Hadley and her fascination with the TV is growing.  She always turns her head when she hears music and she really likes it when animals appear :)  This particular night she was eating and the movie Enchanted came on.  It's a cartoon in the beginning with lots of singing.  She was pretty impressed and watched a good five minutes of it.  My sister sent some baby einstein videos and we played one the other night...let's just say AWESOME.  Not sure how anyone could actually sit and watch one of those, but she is sold!

Christmas Tree

These post are way out of order, but I'm attempting to catch up :)

Josh and I get a fresh Christmas tree every year and we were so excited to take HG with us this year.  I've learned that with a little one, the early morning is the best time to get stuff done.  After she wakes up and eats we can do just about anything and she is game.  So, one morning we decided to go pick out our Christmas tree.  It was super cold outside and I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to use Hadley's new snowsuit/fur-suit that Josh's mom bought her before she was even born.  The tag said 0-3 mo, as you can see the tag should have said 6-9 mo :)  After I got her all snuggly, we put her in the carseat and realized we couldn't buckle it. So, once we re-dressed her we were on our way.  We took our pickup truck (a.k.a Big Red) to bring the big tree home.  We drove to Lowe's and they only had about 20 trees to pick from.  Hello, it's Christmas time people, where are all of the trees?  A little bummed out, we almost left empty handed until we went out front of the store to dig as a last resort and there it was...the most perfect tree, pretty much the only one they had, but it was perfect!  We loaded up and headed home.  Hadley thought it was really fun to ride in the middle of the truck and be next to both of us.  She just looked and smiled the whole time.  By the time we got home she was all tuckered out and fell asleep, but all in all it was a very fun memory.  Here are some short clips from the day.

The final outcome

Hadley enjoying the tree and all the lights.
She always looks at the very top!

Gram and Papa

The Christmas gifts keep coming!  My mom and dad came yesterday and brought Hadley the cutest toys (yes, once again we opened early) . From the minute they come to our house my mom is in the kitchen cooking (yummm) and my dad is fixing something.  They are such a blessing to Josh and I.  My mom helped Hadley open her presents and then read her some new books.  Hadley listened the whole time with much excitement.

Early Christmas Present

Who says you can't open Christmas presents early?  Josh and I are probably the worst about opening presents early.  We figure as long as you have a few on Christmas morning, why not spread them out and enjoy gift giving all month :)  Well, Hadley got to open her Christmas present from Kelly's family early (don't worry she said we could) .  I just have to say that this mat rocks!  She is totally entertained for a good 30 minutes.  I just couldn't capture her excitement with a picture :)

Newborn Pics

I honestly have the sweetest, most talented sister kellystocksenphotography.com .  She so lovingly drove two weekends in a row to capture Hadley's birthday and then to take her newborn pics.  Thank you sister for all the time you put into these.  I so appreciate all that you do.

So..I've finally joined the blog world

Well, today is the day.  I've decided that Hadley is growing too fast and I don't want to miss a minute of it.  My sister (the fabulous photographer) keeps HG documented through pictures, but now I need a place to put them all and remember these sweet memories.  So, I'll have to backtrack a few months, but will eventually catch up to my big girl who is 3 months old now :)

Here are a few from the day we met... Hadley Grace 9/9/09 at 9:24 am  she was 7 lbs 9 oz 20 in

Patiently waiting..or maybe just waiting :)

What a blessed day.  I'm so very thankful for this precious gift.
Thank you Lord for this new blessing and
            the new adventures to come.
