Getting in the groove

This week has consisted of lots of first. The biggest first was trying to get orders filled with HG right by my side...literally.

She was so loving and would play for a little bit and then run over to give me a hug. I laid out a big cardboard box for her to color on. She did color on it for awhile, but she then ventured off the approved space;)

This customer got a little extra love....

She was very tired from working so hard. She rarely sleeps in the car, so this was huge!

At the end of the day we got it all done and had fun doing it.

Josh Update

If you are interested, I just finished posting an update about Josh over at NRGX.

You can see it here.

Busy bees

While dad is away the girls will play!

We have been busy with...

Easter egg hunts

Being cute and watching a dog round up cattle. Two of her favorite animals. She was in heaven;)

Eating at the yummiest place ever...

Being goofy and sending daddy lots of text messages...

And going to the zoo...

Our fun group...well, some of them. We had a BIG group;). So fun!

Not quite tall enough, but that didn't stop her.

Random!

Sorry for all the behind pictures. She was soooo busy running everywhere!!!

She wanted to make sure you knew they were monkeys...

Can you say BUSY!?

Whew, it's only Tuesday! Along with all this fun stuff we have managed to squeeze in lots of work. How many more days before Josh gets home? Only 27 more days.. I can do it!!! Sure hope my mom gets her soon..lol!!!

Side note, Josh called me on the satellite phone last night at 1:30am. I'm still a little foggy of the conversation, but the overall conversation was short and he was doing good! So hope I will hear from him tonight and I will be coherent;)

Letting go

Well, as many of you know, Josh is on his way to climb Mt. McKinley. I dropped him off at the airport yesterday afternoon. He is in Anchorage until tonight and tomorrow morning they head to base camp. He will be gone for a month at the most or only two weeks if the weather cooperates. I bet you can guess what I'm praying for;).

This climb has been in the works for over a year. Josh has spent numerous hours getting everything ready to go, not just climbing stuff, but business stuff too. Turns out, it's a lot of prep to leave a company that you run with lots of info just stored in the brain;).

When he first told me about his dream to climb the mountain I was so excited for him and to see him fulfill it. What a BIG talker I am! Sure it sounds like an awesome plan, but actually seeing him board the plane..eech. The whole week before I had that pit in my stomach and big lump in my throat. I wanted to burst into tears anytime he talked to me about ANYTHING! The reality really hit me hard, until he left. I know that sounds weird, but let me explain.

The day before he left ( and I realized he hadn't changed his mind), I got to thinking that if he is going to accomplish his goal, I could at least pick something to accomplish for the 30 days he is gone. Then it hit me, why not take this opportunity to fully rely on God? To solely purpose my days to seeking Him, relying on Him, and fully trusting Him. I already put my faith in God, but how much am I holding back? How much more could God revel himself if I was available and open to listen?

Leaving the airport and seeing my best friend get on a plane to do something so dangerous,I knew in that very moment that I no longer can protect him ( superficially), I was letting go of any hold I had and giving it fully to God. I felt this overwhelming peace flood my body. I was trusting God, Josh was trusting God, and God was telling me that He delights in taking care of us. He is all I NEED. The lump in my throat was gone and the pit in my stomach was no longer there. I felt a sense of relief for the first time in awhile.

I'm excited to grow through this experience and to see what God has in store. I want to come through this very short time, knowing I whole heartily gave everything over for God to use. I'm letting go not only of Josh, but of myself!

Now, I'm not at all concerned for his safety. I'm excited to hear about the trip, see the pics, and have my hubby home. Life is so short and I'm glad God gave us each other to experience it together, even if we are far apart. Just another adventure in the books;)

Here are a few pics we took before we drove to the airport...

Yes, my eyes are puffy...I definitely cried;)

I'm standing on Gods word in Philippians 4:4-8 ( common English bible)
--- Be glad in the Lord always! Again I say, be glad! Let your gentleness show in your treatment of all people. The Lord is near. Don't be anxious about anything; rather bring up all of your requests to God in your prayers and petitions, along with giving thanks. Then peace of God that exceeds all understanding will keep your hearts and minds safe in Christ Jesus.

Gearing up and the farm

Yesterday, we loaded up and headed to Eureka Springs. We went over to spend some time with Bonny before Josh leaves on Saturday. We haven't been there in about 8 months, so it was really fun to take HG and let her explore. She had a ball. She would run around as fast as she could and just giggle. The farm is full of all kinds of fun things, like a Barkley..

Pretty flowers..

A pond with a stream...which she insisted on taking her clothes off to sit in the freezing cold water;)

Fish and frogs to look at...

And of course room to go go go!

So many fun memories! We love visiting the farm!

Its getting closer and closer to Saturday and as much as I don't want it to come, I am so excited for Josh to get to go. So many mixed emotions, but bottom line, he will have a great, safe time, we will be missing him, but enjoying a lot of fun girl time;).

Off, to go enjoy some family time, I'll post more next week. Have a great weekend.

Be blessed, Meg

Wagon love

This girl is one happy camper when we get the wagon out! The weather has been so nice to play outside, so we have had no problem riding all around the neighborhood, or just sitting in the driveway. She likes it so much that whenever we head for the garage to put it away, she shout out, 'AGAIN!'

Fun weekend

Josh is leaving next weekend to go to Alaska. I haven't blogged about it, but he is going on a mountain expedition to climb Denali. He has been training and preparing gear for about a year and a half. Now, the time is here, he leaves on Saturday for an entire month.

This past weekend, my parents came up to see us before Josh leaves and to keep Hadley so we could have a date. It was so much fun seeing them and also getting to spend some time together. I had my mom take our picture before we left since I have zero family pictures;). Neither of us like having our picture made, but every once in awhile it's nice to have a picture of all of us!

Josh and I left mid morning Saturday and headed to Branson. We had booked a room at the Hilton on the Landing. Once we got there we had lunch, did some shopping, and then headed to the room. When we got checked in, we went to the smallest room I have ever seen overlooking the street. It was awful. Josh called down to the desk and asked if we could have another room and she told him they have a suite they could give us for the same price. Um, yes please! We got this awesome room, overlooking the Landing Center. It had a great view of the fountains.

The view below is from the bedroom window, hence the screen.

The weather was perfect and we had such a fun time hanging outside on the deck.

That night we walked around and went out to dinner. It was so relaxing!

This is one of the fountain shows they do, pretty neat.

We are so thankful for the time together and for HG to hang with her gram and papa. She has so much fun with them that it is not hard to leave her. Oh, a major update...she says Gram all the time now. It is so cute and my mom is a happy camper.

I will blog more about Josh's trip, but for now I'm just enjoying having him home. I will cross that bridge after this week;)

Detour

Have you ever had one of those shopping trips where you go for one thing and you leave with something completely different? Well, it happens to me ALL the time. For instance, HG and I went to Lowes to get some plants and we only left with one plant and this little fun thing.

I was trying to look around but Hadley wanted to get out of the cart and look for herself. Solution, grab the nearest child proof item and go with it;). This never left her hand from the moment I gave it to her. There was no way we could turn back and leave it. I wasn't sure of the cost, but I decided if its under $50, I'm ok with that. Well, it was actually only $11....we both won;)

This is her look when I tell her to say cheese.

When we moved our warehouse, it came along to help.

I was thinking this little green bucket will be awesome this summer. It can carry all our pool gear or picnic stuff. If you need a gift idea, it might be fun to personalize it and fill it will fun goodies;) Just a thought!
