Peek-A-Boo

Hadley has been so fun lately, busy, busy, but fun! Recently she has been lifting up her bumper with her feet to peek out of her crib. Tonight I caught her in the action before bed.

Love, love, having her in my life.

Look at those thighs;)

Maw Maw's house is home

Monday my mom, sister and I planned a quick trip to Fayetteville to meet at Maw Maw's house. My sister brought her kids so we just had a party;).

Going to Maw Maw's house is like going home for me. It's always filled with peace, fun, and the smell of something yummy cooking. Maw maw has to be the coolest grandma ever. She is lively, spunky and patient (most of the time..lol). She is accepting and easy going. She has a very big sweet tooth which explains the bags of cookies that fill her freezer. It doesn't matter if I'm there 5 min or 5 days, I have to have a chocolate chip cookie the minute I walk in the door! I have so many fun memories with maw maw and papa that I want HG to build memories of her own with maw maw.

My sister took some cute pictures ( shocking, I know)

Aren't those flowers beautiful? These are in maw maw's backyard.

Here are some pic I got with my phone
The girls playing after breakfast.

Chloe and her crafts. We named them Garfield and Odie;)

I have such a deep love and respect for Maw Maw and for the Godly example she has always shown us. I treasure every visit we get to spend together with all the kids and know they are building their own memories. Thank you Maw Maw for all you do. We love you!

9 months

Month 9! Wow, time is flying by and I am loving every minute. Hadley is more active, curious, expressive, and fun everyday. She has two teeth on the bottom that just came in which does explain some of her added sass these days, but a lot of her personality is coming through. She is telling us more of her likes and dislikes, by yelling in short bursts over and over. If one of us leaves the room she yells, waits to see if we came back, and yells again until we return;) Also, if she is ready for a nap she will look at us close her eyes and yell. She is a little dramatic to say the least.
Here are some of her expressions.

The famous eye/nose scrunch expression

We are sooo in love with you sweet girl! Happy nine months. Looks like we will be planning your birthday party soon!

It's officially summer!

There is an awesome aquatic center across the street from our neighborhood that just opened this past weekend, so we decided to go and check it out today. They don't open until noon, but they had toddler time from 10:30-11:30 everyday. There were only about 5 mom's there so it was easy to play and not get run over by a ton of kids. I knew Hadley would like the water, but I had no idea she would like it as much as she did. The pool is a beach entry so we sat there for a long time playing with the water spouts. They also have little benches you can sit on, so I just held Hadley and she got to 'swim' aka kick her legs as fast as they could go;). We will definitely be heading back tomorrow!

It is so much fun seeing her explore things for the first time;)

Sweety

These are from awhile ago, but I just got the cd from my sister and I wanted to post them. Have I mentioned how awesome it is to have a sister who is a photographer? Thanks sis for always capturing the moment. I count on you way to much!

This is when she sat up for the first time. Kelly worked her magic.

Miss Jumper

My mom bought this for HG to have at her house, but she ended up sending it home with us so Hadley could enjoy it before growing out of it. And that is just what she has been doing, enjoying it.  Thanks Gram :)

Bonnybrooke

On Tuesday Josh and I made a trip to Eureka to pick up the bike I'll be using for the triathlon.  Bonny was so excited we were coming over because this was HG's first trip to the farm.  Bonny is a regular at our house come Sat. afternoon, so we really don't go to her house much.  HG slept most of the way there so when we got there she was excited to get out and explore.  Bonny has a dog Barkley and a cat Max, HG was keeping a close eye on them.  I think Barkley would have liked to play more, but Josh and I aren't really the 'let your dog lick all over you' type. So, they pretty much get to look at each other from a distance for now :)

Bonny took her to look at the pond and we saw the fish and the water lily's blooming.
Playing inside for a bit. Every picture was blurry because she is ALWAYS moving :)

It was a very fun day!

Swimming...

...or, just sitting and splashing:)

One of my friends gave this pool to HG today and we couldn't wait to try it out.  I had to run to Wal-mart while Hadley took a nap and Josh was going to get the pool set up and filled with water so it wouldn't be so cold when we put her in it.  After he got it blown up, he walked to get the hose and came back to the yard and there was no pool in sight.  He was only gone for a second and there was no trace of the pool anywhere...huh?!  He decided to start walking in the direction of the wind to see if he could find it.  Well, two houses down, there is was..blowing down the street :)  Of all the things I never thought I would see Josh do this would be top on the list, chasing a blow-up pool through the neighborhood...tehee.  Needless to say we he got it filled up and decided to try it out.  It was still waaaay too cold, but we couldn't resist the fun.  It only lasted 5 min, so tomorrow we will try a much warmer pool :)

Mother's Day

Today has been a typical Sunday which happen to be my favorite.  We went to church this morning, made enchilada's and margarita's for lunch and watched a movie. Josh did however surprise me by giving me sewing lessons, which I'm so pumped about.  Now, I'll be a dress factory for sure :)

Since today is Mother's day it makes your realize all the special things your mom does for you and how much you appreciate them.  Being a mom to Hadley is the best feeling, but being able to honor your own mom is the ultimate.  I'm so thankful for a Godly mom who is a very good example of love and lots and lots and lots of patience :)
